I can help you

I have acted for employers and employees across a wide range of employment law issues including health and safety, redundancy decisions, workplace stress, bullying claims, unjustified dismissal, breaches of the duty of good faith, human rights and privacy matters.
I ultimately seek to resolve employment issues at the earliest possible stage and to provide a cost-effective service for my clients. I take a problem-solving approach which carefully considers the nature of the employment relationship. In doing so I have resolved employment relationship problems through negotiation, mediation and commencing proceedings in the Employment Relations Authority.

I am the treasurer of the New Zealand Labour Law Society. The Society holds biennial conferences which are attended by academics from New Zealand and abroad, judges of the Employment Court, members of the Employment Relations Authority and employment law practitioners. I have regularly presented papers at these conferences and have had articles published in the New Zealand Journal of Employment Relations on health and safety and equal pay claims. I have also had articles published in the Employment Law Bulletin on the transformative Terranova (equal pay) litigation and in Lawtalk about employment law remedies.
